Glass Target Ball from the 1880's
Amber - rare ball from the patentor of Glass Target Balls.
"BOGARDUS GLASS BALL PAT' APR 10 1877."
A man of many talents, Capt. Bogardus was the inventor of one of the early forms of glass ball traps and of an improved glass ball. Rules formulated by Capt. Bogardus soon became in general use. Capt. Bogardus was also the author of a book called
Field, Cover and Trapshooting.
He died in 1913 at the age of 80.
